How PAYE Works in Tanzania
Tanzania uses a progressive PAYE system administered by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA). The first TZS 270,000 per month is tax-free, with rates from 8% to 30% on higher brackets.
Understanding NSSF & NHIF
NSSF requires 10% from both employee and employer (20% total). NHIF requires 3% from both (6% total). Both are mandatory for all formal sector employees.
